Rev. Caspar James Green

Rev. Caspar James Green has been the Pastor of FBC since December, 2003. Rev. Green has been a pastor for more than 15 years, having served churches in New Jersey, Maine, central New York and Virginia before coming to Glens Falls. Rev. Green also currently serves on the Board of Mission for the American Baptist Churches of New York State and is the Moderator of the Adirondack Baptist Association. He lives in Glens Falls with his wife, Brooke, and son, Silas.

As another school year draws to a close, I am looking forward more than usual to summer. This summer First Baptist folk will gather for several "family dinners." Besides eating, these gatherings will be occasions for telling the First Baptist family stories, old and new. We will make a church timeline to celebrate the highs (and lows). We will tap the living memories and go digging in the archives. Taking a look at the big picture, we will watch for the themes of God's movement in our life "back then"; we will affirm God's presence with us in the present, and we will listen for God's calling into our future.

Watch your Sunday Bulletin, the summer issue of the Beacon, and right here on the web, for dates and times for these gatherings. Whether you've been a member here for eighty years or are just checking us out for the first time, all are welcome. Our story will not be complete if you're not in it!
