Children's Shoes Reach Iraqi Children
For three weeks in February, First Baptist Children led the church in collecting shoes for children in Iraq. First Baptist kids collected over 100 pairs of shoes, which were sent along with others from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish to Major Jeff Camp, a Glens Falls area native on deployment there. We received the picture and note below from Major Camp.

Dear Family and Friends,
Please pass my grateful thanks to all the members who helped collect shoes! With your help we will make a difference.
During my deployment in Iraq, I set out to collect 10,000 pairs of shoes for the Children of
Iraq. First of all let me say Thank you for your donation!
It is people like you
who spent their own time and money to help out the less fortunate people of Southern Iraq.
It is the kindness and compassion of a few who can change the world for so many. On behalf
of the people you have helped, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Major Jeff Camp
